Neck Pain

Discover Niall McNamara's Services Today

Neck pain often stems from tension, injury, or poor ergonomics, impacting daily life. Our physiotherapy services are designed to target the underlying causes of your pain, offering hands-on treatments and corrective exercises to relieve discomfort. We focus on restoring neck function and supporting long-term health through expert care.

Does This Sound Familiar?

  • Neck pain from a specific incident (e.g. road traffic accident/whiplash)?

  • Pain and stiffness in the neck for no known reason?

  • Sudden onset of neck pain/stiffness when you wake or a feeling that your neck is ‘locked’?

  • Difficulty or pain when turning over in bed at night?

  • Pain and stiffness when sat in the car or at a desk for long periods?

  • No longer able to get full movement when turning your head?

  • A dull ache, referred pain or tingling down the arm or into the hand?

  • Pain or burning sensation across the shoulders, shoulder blades or mid back?

  • Been told it’s age related, ‘wear and tear’ or a ‘trapped nerve’?

  • More regular headaches than normal?

  • Tried various medications, pillows, exercises, and treatments but no relief?

If any of this sounds familiar to you, you are not alone! It is estimated that 65-70% of the adult UK population experiences neck pain every year. Furthermore, approximately 1 in every 2 people with neck pain experience a recurrence of their problem.

However, there is a great deal that can be done to help to get you out of pain and get you back doing the things that are important to you.

With so many possible causative factors with neck pain (including poor posture, poor work/desk set up), structure involvement (including disc, muscle, ligament, nerves, facet joints) and demands from modern lifestyle, it is crucial a thorough assessment of your neck is carried out to gain an accurate diagnosis which identifies the root cause of your pain.
